Formally Established in 2021 Mahlaseli Energy has since been offering solar solutions for electrification,water supply and solar thermal. The company employs 20 permanet workers and has installed 100 + solutions in Lesotho to date.

In 2023 we lauched the solution of Solar Pay As You Go to eliminate the upfront costs of ownng a solar offgrid system in Lesotho by rural low income earning communities. The Project was selected as the winner for OneYoungWorld Lead 2030 for SDG7 and in Lesotho and also secured a 12 months mentorship program from CEZGROUP in the Crech Republic for a period of 12 months.

The Project is also the overall winner for GCIP Lesotho 2030Cohort. Having successfully validated through customer questioners with our target market, We are currently in the process of testing the concept of Pay As You Go In Lesotho and exploring patterns at which the end user prefers to Pay. We are currently testing with 300 World Bank Tested Products, the D'light Solar PayGo Product.

Mahlaseli Energy Energy has a registered a trade mark for the solution in Lesotho and seeks to deploy our own Lesotho owned products, to enhance accessibility and to significantly reduce the cost. Our solutions also enhance learning and access to technology for the rural child as they are WIFI enabled. The systems will be assembled in our rural factory store then distributed to our outlets across the coutnry. Once we have succefully serviced the demand of Lesotho, we seek to move to Our Adjacent Market ,South Africa
